I am interested in engaging students in an active classroom that will provide an environment to strengthen critical thinking skills using Chemistry and Biochemistry themes. I believe these experiences and skills will benefit students regardless of their future career paths.

PICO is a small-team oriented group of MCW postdocs who are focused on addressing the needs of start-up and second stage biotechnology companies. PICO provides actionable business strategy and product development advising services while developing the business toolkit of its members. -Recently joined the PICO leadership committee- Our goal is to provide sustainable consulting services for local biotech companies that also provide valuable experiences for postdoctoral fellows at the Medical College of Wisconsin-Attended National Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) meeting-2013 **Completed Technology Valuation Course at this meeting**-Surveyed the landscape of current competitive intelligence resource platforms and provided recommendations for local technology transfer offices. **Work accepted for publication in Technology, Transfer and Entrepreneurship**-Provided training to consultants for competitive intelligence platform use.-Completed consult with a pharmaceutical start up in Milwaukee.

Currently working in the laboratory of Dr. Allison Ebert. We are developing novel culture systems using patient derived induced pluripotent stem cells to model neurodegenerative disease.

Taking over for a a Microbiology lecture during a maternity leave in the department of Biomedical Sciences.

Teaching Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry labs and and introduction to Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry lecture.

Working under Dr. Clive Svendsen at the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research, I focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms that influence motor neuron disease. In this lab we utilized recent advances in induced pluripotent stem cell (iPS cell) technology to grow neuronal cells from the skin tissue of affected individuals. The ultimate goal being to understand the cause of motor neuron degeneration in hopes to define treatment and/or cures for these diseases.

I utilized many different biochemical techniques to understand how early post transcriptional events influence embryo development.
