Lead and oversee Interconnect Solutions (ICS) supply chain processes across the Joplin, Missouri and Berryville, Arkansas operation centers and partner with Ducommun’s strategic supply chain and operations leaders. Responsible for leadership of critical business processes, including S&OP, demand and customer order management, production planning, NPI integration, supplier scheduling and inventory control. Utilize operational excellence experience to lead further improvements across the supply chain function while working collaboratively to establish standard work across the company’s overall supply chain process.

Support the Director of Operational Excellence in standardization of processes and training materials as specified in rolling out operational excellence strategy across the Ducommun facilities.Led Six Sigma and Lean projects accounting for more than $5 Million in savings in the first 5 years of service.Introduced Lean principles in a traditionally high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment creating a culture that strives to respond to daily customer demand rather than a monthly forecast.Led an effort that implemented a Lean work cell instituting flow, visual factory, operator involvement, and continuous Kaizen to produce a new product in 5 hours per part when it would have taken more than 12 hours with existing production standards.

Was charged with the operation and maintenance of the emergency and backup power supply systems.Led a cost savings project that resulted in an over $50,000 reduction in the electric bill as a result of reduced lighting cost.Utilized a Cutler-Hammer Impacc III monitoring system to provide manufacturing operations power consumption data for specific areas of the facility.
