In this position, I designed a novel system for distributing critical TB-PB scale datasets to internal customers which could not use existing channels. This work involved researching many big data technologies and working backwards from customer needs to develop an optimal solution for an ambiguous problem. Once I created this design, I prototyped the solution and led a team of three engineers to implement and test the system. Through this role I gained experience with the software design process, working with a team of engineers within a larger project, and with building services on top of AWS with the AWS Software Development Kit and AWS Cloud Development Kit.

In this position, I collaborated with other researchers in the CESMIX project to create a suite of Julia packages which form a unified pipeline for molecular simulation to be used for material design research. I was the lead developer of two of the packages and worked with the team of researchers to coordinate our efforts into a unified framework. Through this role I gained experience with high performance computing and the Julia ecosystem.

In this position, I worked as a software development engineer intern on Amazon's Fast Track Engineering team within Supply Chain Optimization Technologies. In my 12-week internship, I developed a scalable, modular, and testable data processing pipeline for one of Amazon's key business metrics. The system is a distributed big-data application built on Apache Spark. I learned how to collaborate within a large product team which included engineers, scientists, and product managers. I also improved my time management skills within agile processes and the SCRUM framework. Through this internship, I gained exposure to new technologies such as Scala, spark, and EMR, and improved my ability to produce code at a high velocity.

In this role, I advised multiple teams and initiatives within Erevna in their website design and development and participated in monthly advisory board meetings to better assist the organization as a whole. With this role, I have gained leadership experience and improved my abilities to help teams accelerate their development projects.

In this position I served as the Undergraduate Assistant for 18.S191: Introduction to Computational Thinking for Real-World Problems. In this position, I helped facilitate online lectures, graded students' weekly problem sets, and organized lecture subtitling efforts. I also performed various other duties to coordinate with course staff in order to keep the course running smoothly.

In this position, I worked with a research group led by Erez Yoeli in the MIT Sloan School of Management to develop Giving Profiles—a platform to encourage more, and more thoughtful, philanthropy. I coordinated with a team of undergraduates to design, code, and test the website and to improve the user experience. In this position I have gained experience writing web applications using Ruby on Rails, Sass, and PostgreSQL.

In this position, I worked as an intern on Amazon's FastTrack Engineering team within Supply Chain Optimization Technologies. In my 12-week internship, I researched, designed, and developed a system that flexibly generates large volumes of mocked data for internal testing. I learned how to work well within a team and manage my time in a full-time engineering context as well as how to work backwards from customer problems to create an impactful end product. Through this internship, I gained experience developing and testing a large-scale system using Amazon Web Services.

In my first summer at this position, I worked with Middlesex's IT department to completely redesign and rewrite Middlesex’s custom Moodle plugins. During my second summer I added substantial novel features to the system which are now used on a daily basis by the Middlesex community. In this position I served as the primary developer for the codebase and gained experience writing web applications using PHP, SQL, JS, HTML, and CSS.
