The Institute of Public Representation is a legal advocacy clinic at Georgetown Law. It focuses on advocating for underrepresented groups with an aim toward achieving social justice.As a member of a small team, prepared an appellate brief in McBurney v. Young (now on review in the U.S. Supreme Court) for the U.S. Court of Appeals in the Fourth Circuit successfully overturning lower court's ruling on our client's ability to challenge a denial of access to information.With that same team, we represented a migrant worker's rights group in obtaining critical information from government agencies where state agencies were withholding information already mandated to be made public by federal regulation.
