Having a deep appreciation for how research drives meaningful medical innovations, I am working on translating my work into the real world with my start-up, Signl. I am using my previous research work on nanoparticle biosensors in Professor Emily Weiss’s lab at Northwestern to contribute to translational large scale Immunoengineering projects with Professor Esser-Kahn at UChicago's Molecular Engineering department. I led a high throughput screening project to discover adjuvants that improve vaccines. We identified a landscape of immunomodulators that can greatly enhance or inhibit specific cytokines and cell surface makers while increasing antibody generation in multiple commercial vaccine models (Flu, HepB, Typhoid).
