I've been working in cybersecurity for 17 years helping companies find the weaknesses in their security defenses so they can protect themselves from cyberattacks. I've seen some really bad things happen to companies because of cyberattacks. I've witnessed firsthand the damage that hackers can do.To help people learn from these attacks, I wrote a book called "Confessions of a Hacker." In the book, I talk about the worst attacks and give advice on how to protect yourself and your company.I also give talks around the world titled "Confessions of a Hacker." In these talks, I share my knowledge and help people understand how cyberattacks and crimes are happening and how to defend against them."What's My Story? 📚 I grew up in a family with 56 foster brothers and sisters. 👩‍👧‍👦❤️ My parents were not only caring foster parents, but they were also both entrepreneurs, running businesses in real estate, auto repair, hair salons, and restaurants. Neither parent graduated from high school or college. Entrepreneurship was the only clear way up for them.Growing up in this environment, I watched my parents display amazing levels of generosity, where I learned to have compassion and always want to help those in need. In my early teens, I started a lawn care business servicing multiple neighborhoods. This was the start of my entrepreneurial journey. 😀In college, I started a web development and advertising business during the dot-com boom with my college roommate. We built websites for organizations such as the National Soccer Hall of Fame ⚽ and designed advertisements for Pfizer and many other great companies. 👨‍🔧I spent the last 20 years working with enterprise technology companies across dozens of industries, including banks, enterprise software, auto manufacturers, hedge funds, energy companies, cyber-security, and many more. I've been involved in several startups and have been fortunate in several successful exits.I've had the privilege to consult with some of the world’s top companies, including CISCO, Siebel Systems, Hewlett Packard, Equifax, Nokia, Qualtrics, Quantum Metric, Witness Systems/Verint, and more. I am currently on the Stanford University Board of Advisors, Digital Cities, and Global Projects Center and a strategic advisor to The Inspired Performance Institute. I graduated from Hartwick College 🎓 with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. I enjoy mentoring startups and helping them accelerate their growth. I'm very passionate about business growth & cybersecurity. I currently reside in Atlanta, GA.
