I drive around the Phoenix valley and get to teach kids how to program using either Scratch or Python. Prior to each class I prep by covering the activity we are attempting to complete, making short URLs for all of the links, and attempting to prep some notes for online. While instructing I keep groups of 6-25 K-8th students engaged and exploring their programming environment. I focus initially on how to program by breaking a problem into smaller problems and then implementing a solution. Scratch work is completed at scratch.mit.edu and Python instruction is completed by a mixture of Codesters and DreamPie.

I took calls from retail outlets when anything from their door to their plumbing to their HVAC malfunctioned. I would then assign a priority to the issue and find a service provider who could provide service within the Service Level Agreement(SLA) timeframe. I worked with the locations in California, Alaska, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii, and parts of Canada, however I also provided service to all after hours issues, M-F ~1700-2000. I wrote the turnover report each night, providing advance notice of important issues which would need immediate service in the near future. Outside of my assigned duties I wrote a script which reduced a 4hr/day process to one which lasted less than 5 minutes.

I completed online tickets for Infusionsoft, ran the technical book library, and constantly mentored peers in all things technical - from within the application to without.

I currently use Python and my ability to read documentation and example code to ETL data from a myriad of systems and formats into data that is meaningful to Infusionsoft. This frequently includes work with the python csv, regex, requests, beautifulsoup, xmlrpclib, and os modules. I live in linux, but work in windows, so (nearly?) every reusable script is written in a very portable way.

Provided tier 1 tech support via chat by day and by night explored the api and answered questions I could figure out on the forum. Making peoples' days and matching them up with what they need to power their small and medium sized businesses. Providing white glove treatment to every customer making sure that every technical dilemma that they face is resolved in as fast and upbeat method as possible. Thinking around corners to see future problems and potential while working to eliminate the bad and promote the positive.
