Hello everyone! I am a former educator who is now a software QA engineer, and I love it!My days of discovering errors in teaching materials have been replaced with discovering software bugs. I've traded in writing curriculum for writing test cases. Instead of giving math and reading tests, I'm performing smoke and regression tests. I'm no longer coaching and collaborating with teachers on how to improve their instruction. Instead, I'm communicating and collaborating with developers on how to improve the UI of their apps. And instead of trying to figure out a student's misconceptions, I'm trying to figure out how a person could totally misuse a piece of software and what will get "broken" in the process.I'm still using my teaching skills to help people, but in a different way. I'm helping to make sure that software is as user-friendly and bug-free as possible. And I'm loving every minute of it!
