• Design and management of drill programs around specific needs for rare earth element exploration in laterite-type deposits in southeastern US using multiple drilling methods (e.g. sonic, DPT, and diamond drilling) • Manage daily workflow for multiple full-time and part-time field geologists on-site, and coordinate with multiple drilling sub-contractors.• Manage surface geochemical and geophysical surveys and compile working GIS database for drilling targets across several sites in the lower piedmont region in Georgia.• Compile and formulate interpretation for downhole geochemistry and spectral gamma-ray geophysical data to identify potential targets and for resource estimation.• Aid in model for resources estimation and design of block model using Vulcan reported in both TREO (total rare earth element oxide) and percent monazite.• Contact and communicate with landowners regarding exploration properties and property activities, as well as seek out new potential property owners to expand upon exploration targets. • Coordinate with engineers and various processing facilities for early-stage, bench-scale metallurgical testing to understand nature of deposit and create a workflow for processing and optimization.• Research, identify, and develop new methods for exploration of early-stage targets, as well as conducting prospecting, mapping, and data compilation in GIS.

• In field drill management and logistics of up to 6 diamond drill rigs (track and truck mounted) pad preparation, rig alignment, end of hole calls, as well as reclamation of associated pad and roads. • Design and execute autonomous done flights for the purposes of high definition of orthophoto, DEM, 3D model, and point cloud surveys.• Drafted and executed research proposal using micro-XRD on alteration mineralogies within LCT-pegmatites of tin-spodumene belt of NC.• Responsible for acquiring and interpreting geological, structural, and geotechnical data for rock hosting LCT-pegmatites.• Logged diamond-drill core (non-oriented and oriented) and Sonic Core both in field and in core shed, sampled, compiled data into database, and aided in the refinement of a working geological model. • Performed preliminary field mapping as well as hard-rock and soil collection for newly acquired properties in Piedmont terrains of North Carolina using Trimble GPS and MapInfo Software.

• Logged diamond drill core and/or rock chips for geological, structural, and geotechnical data. • Was responsible for diamond drill core preparation, cutting, and sampling. • Assisted in monitoring underground and surface diamond drilling at and around mine sites; visited drill sites to log core, determine termination depths, conduct site safety inspections, and retrieve core pallets. • Performed borehole surveys and liaise with drilling contractors, and surrounding community. • 40-Hour Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). • 5000-23 for Cat DP40-55(C)NB Diesel Forklift certification.

• Primarily responsible for sample preparation, operation, analysis, and reporting of scanning electron microscope (SEM) data submitted for materials characterization. Certified to perform polarized-light microscopy (PLM) investigations for asbestos minerals over a range of various materials. Completed several professional investigations and reports, as well as developed strong client interactions. Other duties included X-ray diffraction pattern interpretation. Developed a high proficiency in the use of the laboratory information management system (LIMS) for logging, reporting, and submission of analytical reports.

GTA for the Earth and Planetary Sciences Department at the University of Tennessee. Courses taught include: Introductory Geology Lab (GEOL 101), Historical Geology Lab (GEOL 102), Astrobiology.

Four month Vertbrate Paleontology (VP) Museum Research Internship at the Florida Museum of Natural History (FLMNH) funded by the PCP-PIRE grant. Responsibilities include specimen preparation post collection from field, curation, cataloging in different databases, and independent interdisciplinary research project between Paleontology and Geology departments at University of Florida (UF). Research analyzed Rare Earth Element (REE) patterns, Nd Isotopes, and XRD from fossils and sediments across Panama for publication by Bruce MacFadden. Also used MicroCT scanner (Duke University) and Aviso reconstructive software to reassemble a 3D projection of a crocodilian holotype from Panama.

Four month field researcher through PCP-PIRE in conjunction withUniversity of Florida, Florida Museum of Natural History, theSmithsonian, and the NSF. Responsibilities include collection andcataloging of both terrestrial and marine vertebrate fossils from PanamaCanal construction site, and public outreach.

Activities included processing of water and sediment samples for analysis by way of wet sieving to less than 63 micron sediment fraction, the use of Westfalia continuous flow centrifuge for large volume water samples, and laboratory freeze drying using USGS methodology.

Worked on an American Chemical Society (ACS) funded project to determine the origin and diagenic properties of authigenic smectite clays. The final project was presented at the Geological Society of America conference (GSA) in Vancouver, BC in October of 2014.

As a paleontology researcher I work with Oligocene mollusks from the Byram Formation in Vicksburg, MS to determine predation habits through drilling.A second project was also undertaken from the fall of 2013 to spring of 2014 on predation following the same methodology for samples from the Pleistocene aged specimens of Snake Island of the lower Waccamaw Formation; the research of which was presented at SEGSA in April of 2014.

Completed two three week field courses in Dillon, MT under guidance of Hassan Babaie PhD out of the University of Montana Western. The course entailed detailed member level structural mapping of the northwestern region of the US by use of Brunton Compasses and elevation field maps for more than 8 different locations including: glacial deposits, faults, folds, unconformities, sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic structures. Maps were later converted to AcrGIS maps using ArcMap 10.1.
