I led strategic initiatives for the Office of the President at Indiana University. In this role I collaborated with units university-wide to advance IU’s mission to support students, promote research, and serve the state.In my role I provided leadership for University Honors and Awards, led process improvement initiatives, formulated strategic and project plans, and conducted research on IU history and higher education. I served as chair of a university lectureship committee and staffed the IU Committee on Historic Preservation. I also led a team of professional staff, part-time staff, and student interns.

I worked with faculty, staff, and students on all of IU’s campuses to plan and execute programs that marked IU's 200th anniversary. Successfully completed projects included the design and manufacturing of the IU Bicentennial Medal, a traveling history exhibit, the creation of IU’s historical marker program, and a project grant program. Responsibilities included strategic and project planning, supervision, research, committee management, public engagement, budget management, and grant administration.

Served as Assistant Director of the Great Lakes Park Training Institute, which is administered by the Eppley Institute at Indiana University. Successfully increased attendance every year, revamped the Institute’s image, and skillfully managed the budget. Responsibilities included securing speakers, marketing, managing the board of regents, budget management, and on site trouble shooting.

I collaborated with local, state, and national park agencies to develop master plans, training, and research reports that furthered agency goals and objectives. Successfully delivered three park and recreation master plans, over 50 e-courses, three week long in-person training courses for the National Park Service, and numerous research projects. Responsibilities included project planning, public engagement, research, training development, e-course development, and project execution.

Indianapolis, Indiana

Administered the State of Indiana’s historical marker program. Successfully increased the number of state historical markers for African-Americans and women and created an internship program, review program for old markers, and an inspection program. Responsibilities included project management, research, public relations, supervision, and budget management.
