There is an old cliche that states "Jack of all trades, master of none." I beg to differ! Experience makes for a more well-rounded individual. With a degree in Criminology the next logical step would be to go to culinary school. As the top student in my class, I went on to work for the premier Ritz-Carlton Hotel company. With experience at Bachelor Gulch in Avon, Colorado and the Naples Beach Resort, Naples, Florida, my culinary acumen is very sharp. Following a successful run in the kitchen I went on to work with a plastering company where I became a Certified Building Contractor. Through the tumultuous building period of the mid 2000's it was off to become a teacher. I can honestly say that this is the best career move I have made. Nothing stimulates the brain more than constantly keeping up-to-date on the latest trends in education. I have a broad experience in the field. I am certified in Exceptional Student Education (ESE), Mathematics 6-12, Biology 6-12, Elementary Education and Family/Consumer Science. I have experience in professional development, fundraising efforts, community integration in the school, grant writing, leadership and extra-curricular experience. As I finish my Masters in Educational Leadership I am excited for the next opportunity to be an educational leader in a school. There is nothing more fulfilling than being an educator.
