I introduced H&R paraffin and microcrystalline waxes to the UK market & developed new business for slackwaxes, both in bulk and in slab form, having been instrumental in the project to install the necessary equipment to be able to offer slabbed waxes.

Managed existing and developed new business in Europe for our cable filling compounds in the telecommunications, fibre optic and power cable manufacturing sector. Led the successful project to invest in the capability for our Netherlands plant to be able to produce waterblocking jellies for the telecommunications cable sector.

I was responsible for managing existing accounts and developing new business in Northern Europe for the newly merged cable filling compounds businesses of Dussek Campbell Limited and BP Chemicals which was brought together under BP Global Special Products Limited.

I managed existing accounts and developed new business in Northern Europe for waxes for packaging applications. I also served the markets for waxes for all applications in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Introduced the Dormy brand in Central and Eastern Europe ( including Russia ) and the Middle East achieving significant sales through distributors and agents which I identified, appointed and managed.

I was responsible for sales of polypropylene in the North of England before and during the integration of the BASF & ICI polypropylene businesses under BASF plc. I had particular success in the housewares sector.

Internal sales support to the Technical Sales Managers for the polyethylene and then polypropylene product groups.

General office administration role later specialising in complaints process handling. I was involved with Scotchflex ribbon cable and connectors at the early stages of the growth of the personal computing industry.
