Kiboko is a Canadian-based gold exploration company focussed on its 102 sq. km Harricana Gold Project located within the world-class southern Abitibi gold belt, 55 km north of Val-d’Or, Québec.

The patent-pending Hybrid Pipe Sleeper is a revolutionary engineered pipeline support technologies designed for the tough conditions of the Canadian oil sands. Red River negotiated an exclusive global distribution agreement, worked with manufacturer to undertake rigourous performance testing and incorporate additional safety features into the design, and developed marketing materials to successfully sell the product in commercial quantities to major oil sands mining companies.

Following IAMGOLD’s exit from the Kalana joint-venture, I joined Avnel and used my capital markets and technical expertise to reverse the market’s perception of the company and the Kalana Project.I also led the charge to raise more than $22mm of equity that was used to triple in-pit resources to more than 3M oz (at 4 g/t Au), complete a feasibility study outlining a long-life an open-pit Mineral Reserve (2M oz at 2.9 g/t), and successfully permit the project for construction during a pronounced period of falling gold prices, difficult equity markets for mining companies, and significant insurgent terrorist activity in Mali.These efforts contributed to a substantial increase in valuation, trading volumes, share price, and attracted independent research coverage from five brokerages (from none). These contributions also helped set the stage for the sale of the company to Endeavour Mining for $167mm.

I was hired by this AIM, BVL, and TSX-listed Latin American focussed gold producer, explorer, and mine development company to work with the CFO. I successfully helped the client secure or refinance more than $200mm in capital, manage business development initiatives, redevelop key disclosure documents. In 2014, the mandate expanded to include oversight of investor relations during a pronounced period of difficult market conditions.

Advised clients on strategic partnerships with Korean and Japanese multinational corporations, SOEs and PE groups, which included the technical review and assessment of engineering studies and exploration program results, management of technical, legal, and financial due diligence processes between clients and potential partners.
