Jeremy is an English qualified lawyer. He co-founded Manuel Swaden Solicitors with Michael Swaden in 1989 and has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate including property investment and development and higher value residential properties. He heads the Real Estate department and serves a wide range of clients from major PLCs to private individuals. He is an accredited mediator with the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR).Jeremy is also a patient advocate and was a founder and Chairman until 2012 of a UK national charity and patient support group, the Gauchers Association for which he was awarded an O.B.E in the Millennium Honours List. He was a founder Chairman of the international umbrella group of Gaucher Patient organisations, the European Gaucher Alliance (EGA) and oversaw its transition to the International Gaucher Alliance (IGA) and was invited to become its Honorary President . He represents the IGA on the board of the International Working Group on Gaucher Disease (IWGGD) and Chairs International Gardian Limited the wholly owned subsidiary of the IGA set up to establish and run a Global Neuronopathic Gaucher Disease Registry.He is also a lay representative on the Highly Specialised Technologies evaluation committee of the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE)Jeremy also holds the Freedom of the City of London and is a Fellow of the RSA.
