Researched and drafted memoranda, sections of motions, and discovery documents for casesinvolving federal white-collar criminal defense, employment law and complex civil matters.

Researched and drafted memoranda and motions, including a motion for summary judgment in an Equal Pay Act claim brought against the FAA and a memorandum regarding searches of laptops at the border. Represented the United States in criminal proceedings before Federal Magistrate Judges.

Researched criminal procedural reform in China, maritime piracy, international property rights, truth and reconciliation councils, the global economic crisis, and other current international legal issues for Profs. Kristen Boon and Margaret Lewis.

Researched and drafted opinions involving a motion for contractual attorney’s fees, a motion to dismiss a claim under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, and an appeal of a child’s social security disability determination. Finalized the opinions with Judge Debevoise’s input.

Researched deportation and arrest records from Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids to find trends implying human rights violations for use in a policy paper, litigation, and the creation of an informational database.

Set up systems for efficient use of warehouse space and technology. Streamlined and modernized several company procedures, including invoicing, shipping, and record keeping.
