It was the bottom of the 7th inning. Bases were loaded with two outs. Our team was up by one score. I was playing left field, but not too deep. There was a stillness in the air and the game felt like it was never going to end. The pitcher wound up to secure a strike after a swing and a miss. But that wasn't the case.The ball came zipping through the air in my direction after hitting the bat. I started sprinting towards the direction of the ball as it was heading into foul territory. I dove down.Catch. This catch won the game. And it was one of the most memorable moments of my life.My teammates, family, and everyone in the crowd were cheering. It was a very proud moment.
