This is the best local outdoor shop in the Southeast, I had the opportunity to work with an amazing team of passionate outdoors enthusiasts. Originally labled as strictly the North Carolina State University brand ambassador for my campus, however, I was able to expand to the two other major universities: Duke and UNC. As the hardgoods buyer intern by no means was my experience limited to strictly buying. I worked primarily with chief merchant, hardgoods and apparel buyers, and a lot of work with the private label development. I was able to be involved with many different parts of the company and gain experience in multiple fields. I was the only intern ever to attend the Outdoor Retailer Summer Showcase with the buying/merchandising team.
