Jeremy Berman is the co-founder and president of GoodUnited, the world’s first fundraising platform for social networks. The venture-backed SaaS company has helped the world’s largest nonprofits raise over $1 billion, and was ranked No. 460 on the 2022 Inc. 5000 Annual list. Jeremy’s role in leading the organization resulted in him being named as a finalist for EY’s Southeast Entrepreneur of the Year in 2023.While volunteering to mentor kids at an underfunded school in South Africa, Jeremy became determined to develop a company that helps nonprofits maximize fundraising. After meeting Nick Black— co-founder of Stop Soldier Suicide—the two moved to Charleston, SC to launch GoodUnited. The company is now one of the fastest growing in Charleston and the country, with hundres of clients ranging from some of the largest nonprofits in the world to smaller-scale organizations making a significant impact. Before establishing GoodUnited in 2014, Jeremy served as a product manager at IBM, where he spearheaded the go-to-market strategy for the company’s partnership with Apple.Jeremy received a BS from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina. At Kenan-Flager, he founded the UNC Seed Fund and served as president of the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club. Passionate about empowering entrepreneurs, Jeremy is also the founder and director of Startup Grind Charleston, a local startup community helping founders grow and scale their businesses. Jeremy resides in Mount Pleasant with his wife Laura, two daughters, and rescue dog.
