As an engineering intern at the spacecraft parts manufacture company, Sinclair Interplanetary by Rocket Lab, I have been performing mechanical production tasks for various reaction wheels and star trackers as well as inspection, integration and functional testing. Some daily tasks include using the Kistler and Vibormeter machine for functional testing and implementing FLAME work instructions for the entire company along with co-workers. Other R&D projects include vibration table sourcing, star tracker baffle cap redesign and process oven commissioning.

As a mechanical R&D assistant engineer at Defeng Machinery CO., the work involves modifying and designing CAD stl. and dwg. documents for a variety of components. In order to produce a high-quality product at a fairly low cost, the designing process also involves material selections and understanding the moulding machine so that different industrial processes could be used along with an efficient method to manufacture the components.
