During the COVID-19 pandemic and post-showroom closure I was working from home. To go freelance was a natural progression. I continue to provide a CAD resource to my former employer and to other companies.Upon request I have also undertaken site surveys.In all regards, I am meticulous, detailed, and accurate. I pride myself in the clarity of the drawings I present, regardless of their complexity.

Working for a high-end furniture manufacturer, I was principally engaged to draw up draft designs utilising AutoCAD LT. I had significant design input and ensured that the furniture would actually work in the space it was designed for.I was repeatedly commended for the clarity and accuracy of my drawings. I also designed standalone furniture. Notably, display cabinets and kitchen dressers.

I have undertaken a richly rounded portfolio of work for a variety of companies, and in a variety of roles.This has included new business start-up at Coast-To-Coast Design - originally, a graphic design / contemporary art partnership; Violet's Knickers - an online lingerie boutique; and Skybuoy Limited.First quarter of 2015 I undertook an analysis of the production processes at Tula Tables in Bedfordshire - documenting strengths, weaknesses and recommendations for improvement.I have also worked variously at Daimler Chrysler, DBD Distribution, Apex Grange, Aurora Lighting, and Bytes Technology, among others. For the most part I worked at Norwich Union Life and Pensions, where I was Project manager for a documents delivery system and a team of twelve developers.This required liaison with multiple stakeholders to determine system priorities, brief on progress and highlight risks or issues. Ensure that business requirements were captured and agreed, necessitating a rapid assimilation of business systems and their complex entity relationships. Design integrated business IT solutions; develop comprehensive system test and implementation plans; source and engage external contractors.I provided quality control on a number of projects in accordance with CMG protocols. I reviewed the company archive process, making recommendations for streamlining procedures that dovetailed neatly with the existing business process model.

Over a twelve-year period I had a number of roles and responsibilities within the IT department at BT. Principally though I worked on the main billing suites and telemarketing services.I developed a solution for Telemarketing Services to continue providing geographical calls analysis, after changes on the network invalidated the original method for determining call origin. The solution was implemented in three phases over a 9-month period and touched every job along the critical path. There was not a single failure, the changes being completely unnoticed by the user community.I was also responsible for negotiating Service Level Agreements, and managed the change process within Telemarketing Services. This meant discussion with the business team to prioritise system enhancements, then delegate and oversee small teams working on concurrent developments.I rewrote a monthly database extract for Network Management after it stopped working. I got it going again, and reduced the runtime from two days to two hours.

My primary responsibility was for passenger safety.I also ensured compliance with department procedure, and that the company met its legal obligations, so far as they fell within my purview.
