I am an experienced and passionate full-stack software engineer and technical team leader. For the last 13 years I have been designing and delivering end-to-end solutions of which the last 8 years I've worked in the regulated medical industry in research and development working toward finding innovative solutions to provide patients with the highest quality of care. I am a strong technology evangelist with the ability to demonstrate its importance to solve key business problems making me a valuable change agent within organizations. I have worked in government and insurance industries but have found my passion in the medical space where I can truly affect so many peoples lives in a positive way.Over the years I've used many technologies, too many to list. I started my career in projects using Java, struts, and JSP which graduated to using single-page web applications implemented in Dojo, Angular and React and Java backed HTTP REST APIs. Most recently I have moved to serverless technologies where the back end may be implemented in Java, Python, JavaScript. I've used a number of relational databases such as Oracle, mySQL,PostgreSQL but I also have a lot of experience with NoSql databases, such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, Cassandra, and various others. Having this widespread exposure enables me to select the databases that fit the need versus personal preferences. I feel strongly that it's not about the technologies that you know but your ability to learn new technologies and adapt to the industry as it evolves over time.I've become very passionate about serverless architecture and have been solely been using it to implement my solutions the last couple years. It's really enabled me to be more agile and more innovative by leveraging a pay per use model and infrastructure as source code to propose new solutions to complex problems with little overhead and approval needed.
