Lion’s Wine division had a turnover of +$190M operating in the premium and luxury segments with market leading brands including St Hallett, Bollinger, Henschke, Wither Hills & Villa Maria. Led the strategic review of the business and brand portfolio resulting in the consolidation of the portfolio, organisation redesign and new trading platform with agency brands. Reduced working capital by over 10% ($10M) and overall sku count by 20% (-200). Operational review of the Winery manufacturing footprint and logistics model leading to +$2m in efficiency savings. Restructured the finance team with a 25% FTE reduction whilst improving people engagement to 90%

The role partnered the CFO, Board and Audit and Finance Committee across all business units within Lion, with revenue of over $5B operating across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, US and UK. The role was responsible for leading a team of 48 to manage the annual audit process for local and groups account for over 20 legal entities, support M&A transactions, preparation of FBT and income tax returns, review FX hedging strategies and implement working capital improvements.Initiated and led the group working capital project to reduce working capital by $100m over three years with a focus on underlying business processes.Business Process Transformation. Led the group legal entity structure review resulting in the deregistration of +40 legal entities and reduced the statutory close process by 15 days.End to end leadership of the Lion Dairy & Drinks carrying value review to realign the business on the realistic long term cashflow forecasts and profitiabilty drivers.Restructured the finance team with a 15% FTE reduction whilst holding engagement above 85%.
