I am passionate about medicine, pathology, biomedical science, making the correct diagnosis for the patient, and improving healthcare outcomes. I put the patient at the center of everything I do. I underwent 2 years of General Surgery training at Vanderbilt University, followed by a residency in Pathology at the University of North Carolina allowing me to have a broad understanding of diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of diseases. I recently completed a GI/Liver/Pancreas surgical pathology fellowship at Duke University and I am currently completing a year-long (2024-2025) fellowship in Molecular Genetic Pathology at Duke University. I also completed an undergraduate degree in business administration and business marketing, which gave me a foundation of knowledge in business processes, budgeting, project management, quality control, marketing, and branding.I am a lifelong learner who is always seeking to improve my skills and knowledge. I constantly push myself to develop new skills, to be a better communicator, a better listener, and a better leader. I enjoy hearing new perspectives and new ways to look at problems. I am a problem solver who is dedicated to finding innovative solutions to complex problems. With strong written and oral communication skills, I can effectively communicate complex ideas to a wide range of audiences.
