About Jeremy Solomon, Mpp

I learned how to be a writer when I was 8 years old. A diehard Boston sports fan, every morning before school as I munched on Cinnamon Life cereal I read the sports pages of the Boston Globe. The sportswriters of my childhood were/are world-class talents: Leigh Montville, Peter Gammons, Bob Ryan, Will McDonough, Kevin Paul Dupont, Larry Whiteside, Dan Shaughnessy. Their prose captivated me, and brought to life the 80s era Celtics, the Big Bad Bruins, the star-crossed Sox, and the bumbling Patriots. Today, I channel the vocabulary I learned from these writers to create web content, speeches, media statements, blog posts, magazine articles, newsletters, press releases, social media posts, op-eds and other written material that engages the audience – just like those sportswriters did for me.Today, I love being the content writer who reassures people in a crisis or tells a compelling story that drives customer engagement. In today’s uncertain times, companies and organizations need an AUTHENTIC, EMPATHETIC voice that reassures their customers and employees that we’re here for them and that we care about their wellbeing. Most of all, successful communications boils down to RELATIONSHIPS – know your audience and you will win them over. I’m still a sports fan these days, but more than that I am a PEOPLE fan. As a dad, a youth basketball coach, and as a communications pro, I love to uncover and write content about the stories of the people who are impacted by the work of a mission-based organization using the modern communications tools of today: video, social media, and digital content. My career has taken me from the streets of Mission Hill with City Year to the hallowed halls of the West Wing of the White House, and my strengths include developing strategic communications plans, nurturing key partnerships, speechwriting, successful project management, driving digital engagement, and building collegial, results-driven teams. I’m versatile, respectful, and I’m PASSIONATE about what I do.
