My mission is to help people fulfill their full human potential.When I was just 9 years old, I remember my brothers making me push the lawn mower – for what seemed like 2 miles – all the way to a family friend's house. My brothers and I divided up the work each week. One mowed the lawn, one edged, and the other swept up the mess. This was the dawn of my entrepreneurial days. Not too long after this, my brothers grew out of this business, and I continued to gain clientele by knocking neighborhood doors and selling my services as a one-man-lawn-mowing band. I ran this small operation until I was 14. At fourteen, I was "adopted" by one of the entrepreneurs I most admired. He took me under his wing and showed me what it takes to build something from the ground up. A key lesson I learned during that period: if you're willing to pay the price you can do anything. My parents were prominent community leaders, my mom was an educator, and I saw what servant leadership really meant. When my mom died, it caused me a lot of reflection. And my personal life mission was born.Since that time I have been involved in building 5 businesses that serve the underserved. Some have disappeared and some continue to grow, but through it all I have learned what it takes to do it right. Most importantly, I believe it's a great time to live because we have the freedom to create.
