Responsible for the implementation and daily operations of community-based housing programs, including the Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP), Pittsburgh Home Rehabilitation Program (PHRP), Down Payment & Closing Cost Assistance Program, Homeowner Emergency Loan Program (HELP), Home Accessibility Program for Independence (HAPI), Neighborhood Housing Program (NHP), Housing Recovery Program – Developer (HRP-D), the Residential Façade Program, the Community Acquisition & Rehabilitation Loan (CARL) Program, the Housing Stabilization Program (HSP), and the Small Landlord Fund.

Under his leadership, he has developed and launched 11 new housing programs, focusing on innovative funding and strategic partnerships, bringing on over $3M of new housing programs in three years (now a $6.5M department budget). Jeremy oversees all administrative functions of the Housing Assistance Programs department which includes 17 different programs including two emergency shelters, five homeless prevention/diversion programs, six rapid-rehousing programs, three permanent supportive housing programs, two peer support specialists, and a 3-person team of Housing Locators.

Manage all Housing Assistance Programs including Rapid Re-Housing, Homeless Prevention, Rental Assistance, Permament Supportive Housing, Shelter Plus Care, Crisis and Emergency Shelter Housing, One-Time rental and utility assistance, and Atypical Housing Programs. My duties include establishing the vision and mission of the Housing Assistance Programs team, creating and meeting program annual goals, establish and uphold program procedures and best practices in service delivery, establish and consult with CEO and Controller on annual budgets for all contracts, enforce program compliance with HUD, UPMC and DHS guidelines. Also responsible for all communication regarding contracts with funders from HUD, Allegheny County Department of Human Services, City of Pittsburgh Planning, and UPMC. Total clients served are 1,000-1,500 per year. Supervise a team of 15 staff.

Supervise Community Support Specialists and Data Administrator in the Emergency Solutions Grant Program (ESG). ESG is a HUD funded homeless assistance program, providing Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Services. Our goal as a team is to provide these services to assist individuals and families to stabilize and maintain their housing and other basic needs within their communities. Our team serves an average of 500 clients a year. My duties include establishing the vision and mission of the team, creating and meeting program annual goals, establish and uphold program procedures and best practices in service delivery, establish and consult with CEO and Controller on annual budgets for all contracts, enforce program compliance with HUD guidelines, communicate program issues and progress with City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Provide case management to Allegheny County consumers who are in crisis of losing their housing or who are currently homeless seeking permanent housing. Specializing in supporting Veteran clients.Duties include identification of affordable housing, establishing and maintaining client and Landlord relationship, provide linkages to care of supportive services, maintain proper documentation to stay in compliance with HUD regulations, and assist clients in their goals/needs to reach a level of self sustainability after exiting the program.

As part of the national organization, Soldier On is establishing a new Western PA Chapter, covering 13 counties. This position works to develop relationships, advocacy, outreach, development, case management, and awareness of the new chapter. Soldier On is America's largest nonprofit in terms of providing SSVF assistance to Veterans. We help Veterans at-risk of being homeless keep their housing, and homeless Veterans attain affordable, permenant housing through SSVF assistance. Examples: rental assistance, down payment, moving expenses, car repairs, medical bills, etc.

- Establish relationships with local faith based organizations- Expand and enhance HFHGP's faith organization database- Establish faith relations committee working especially through the Board of Directors- Develop best practices for faith based outreach- Prepare and provide presentations at local faith based organizations and gatherings- Coordinate "faith build" activities- Develop marketing materials geared towards faith based groups.-Coordinate community projects and events-Develop outreach and project implementation of Veteran Housing Initiative

Lead a group of inner city youth for the summer while teaching them life skills, social skills, and lessons on ecology and nature preservation while working on a significant nature trail restoration project.

- Conduct Community Assessment Reports regarding the benefits of Urban Agriculture, - Organize and facilitate the Neighborhood Advisory Board monthly meetings and activities from the Board, - Act as a liaison between the community and the organization, Develop a Volunteer Strategy Plan for the Urban Farming Initiative Program, - Assist and teach Ecology and Science classes to Elementary and Middle School classes,- Teach a Horticulture Therapy Garden Skills class to Light of Life Rescue Shelter Men,- Assist in Urban Farm & Garden Maintenance,- Organize community outreach aspects of weekly Farmer's Markets and monthly Community Markets,- Recruit volunteers for some aspects of community outreach and Urban Farming Inititative

Started a collegiate nonprofit chapter of the national advocacy organization "Advocates For Youth". This organization operated to advocate on domestic and international issues that college youth may not traditionally think about, and bring them to light by hosting events and educational seminars, fundraising, and other advocacy activities. Issues included human trafficking, hunger, AIDS, international gay rights.
