Through engineering I learned physics, calculus, differential equations. Taking design classes I learned hand sketching, SolidWorks, and SketchUp at the International Center for Creativity.A recent significant achievement was leading our team to the first place award for the truss building competition which all sophomore engineering students participate. I chose to also invest time gaining knowledge outside of the classroom with hand on projects like the Shell Eco-Marathon competition car. The past few summers, I worked as a Surveyor’s Assistant. Client interactions involved solving problems and dispute resolutions. Office work included visualizing and interpreting detailed data. In my team I operated surveying instruments and had the responsibility of stocking vehicles with needed equipment.
