I perform field engineering work to deploy, operate and maintain Cold Bore’s suite of monitoring systems for well completions optimization in Alberta, B.C., Texas, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado and Oklahoma .My daily responsibilities include• Work with multi-disciplinary service providers to integrate and capture all operational data from hydraulic fracturing, wireline plug and perf, coil tubing, snubbing operations• Capture, monitor and analyze field data and tag engineering comments for real-time management information• Produce accurate real time reports for clients to reduce Non-Productive Times (NPTs), analyze data and advise clients to optimize their real time operations• Work with clients in accordance to their HS&E policies, provide field managers with real time information during operation and maintenance• Work with client engineers in the field and HQs to customize field data requirements• Train and lead junior field technicians for system setup and operation• Conduct field testing for new product development• Work with fracturing equipment vendors and service providers to test and integrate their equipment seamlessly with Cold Bore system in the field

I led the field data collection and redesign of chemical pump systems to enhance pipeline pressure protection using Pressure Relief Valves;I developed an Engineering Tool to compare maximum flow rates of all pump models + plunger sizes, against maximum flow rates of the PRV for a pre-determined spring set pressure that is used to develop an operational guideline;I initiated immediate WO’s for problems associated with PRV spring types, pressure settings that were identified in my field work to prevent future incidents;I worked with Swagelok, SPEC and Sirius solar powered chemical pump and piping equipment vendors;I assisted in daily oil and gas field operation taking pressure, temperature and volume data;I have H2S Alive, First Aid, PST, WHMIS, TDG Road certifications

I was stationed at Fox Creek which overlooked the operations of Kaybob . My daily work/training included Operations such as fluid level shooting and data acquisition, pigging of pipelines, changing of orifice plates and resetting RTU, calibrating pressure/temperature sensors, checking PIT BOSS plunger controllers; Maintenance of field facility equipment. Equipment I worked on included Premier plunger lift and PIT BOSS control system, SCADA radio, electric pumps, compressors, hydraulic and electronic Emergency Shutdown Devices (ESD), Off grid solar power system using SunSaver charge controller for SCADA/RTU, Zedi SCADA, Hayley UPS, NetSafety Fire and Gas sensors, Endess & Hauser 4-20 pressure and level sensors, alarms, Lufkin pump jacks, Global Thermo-electric generator (TEG), Spartan Control panels, Stream-Flo ESD, Argus pressure switch; Optimization such as Plunger Lift system implementation, Sucker pump rod design, hot oiling opsEngineering: MOC, redlining P&ID, project management I designed a lead-lag pump control system for condensate dumping from an inlet separator. New components I added included cable trunk, PLC input output cards, high pressure sensors and shut down switches, LEL detector. Updated electrical drawings;I researched on the prevailing wind conditions in Kaybob area. The product was seasonal wind roses with information for Emergency Response Planning during planned or emergency plume release/ignition and wind power system for remote oil well SCADA applications.I completed certified trainings St. John First Aid, ENFORM H2S Alive/Petroleum Safety Orientation, Defensive Driving, WHMIS. I participated in MOC meetings with P Eng and technologists. I conducted on site safety briefings to contractors and issued work permits.

An Engineer-In-Training responsible for Renewable Energy projects in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia, using MPPT grid tie or micro inverters for large scale solar energy farms and stand alone solar systems used in oil field applications, including systems for water pumping, security surveillance and lighting. I designed on-grid and off-grid standalone solar systems in accordance to Canadian Electrical Code. I conducted site and building surveys for installation conditions, measured dimensions of suitable mounting surfaces, and identified routes for cabling. I produced single line electrical drawings for large scale grid-tied solar farming systems for sales proposals/bid documents/permits/approvals. I applied for permits and grants on behalf of clients, interconnection agreement with power companies. I assisted in the purchase of equipment, planning and supervision of installation work. I performed maintenance work and trouble shooting.

At PetroAsian's subsidiary Northeast Oil Exploitation Company in Qiqihar North-East China, I was responsible for the day to day operation of the heavy oil (API 19) production from 31 wells, using Cyclic Steam Stimulation techniques. The daily work involved were production management P&L, HSE, government relations, workover and optimization, negotiating contracts for purchase of goods and services, evaluating new EOR techniques with Canadian oil industry agencies and companies that could be applied to our oilfield in China. I also participated in the drilling and completion of 2 new horizontal wells with TD > 1500m, adding average of 140 bbl/day to the oilfield production. Also participated in the sand cleaning of 2 wells to improve production. Converted 2 old wells for water reinjection.

I was the operator representative, managed the daily operations for PetroAsian Energy and Joint Operation partners' oil and gas exploration project in Tunisia. My responsibilities included keeping liaison with the Tunisian authorities include ETAP (the government commercial oil department) and DGE (energy department) on monthly work progress in our permit. These included attending scout meetings and JOCMs. In operations management, I short listed contractors and defined work scopes for ITT to bid works such as Well site restoration, Seismic data acquisition. I needed to travel frequently to desert well sites to audit jobs. I also had the responsibility to report to Joint Operator committee on project. I actively networked with government and industry professionals in Tunisia in search of farm-out and new opportunities. I regularly conducted technical information exchange with geologists and farm-inees in Rome and London. During my job time, I picked up new knowledge in reservoir mapping, reserve evaluation, seismic and well log analysis.

I was a co-founder of EGL Energy, a company based in Hong Kong who designed and built renewable energy systems. I organised the company, packaged a comprehensive product portfolio, developed a professional website and launched the business in less than a month. Subsequently, I played the key role in the day to day business management including Marketing, Product Development, Solutions Design, ODM Sourcing and Management. I designed many standalone and grid-connected wind and and solar systems applied to lighting, wireless telecom and surveillance. Some of our successful projects include The world's first wind and solar powered Wifi internet service on the Pacific island of Nauru; Solar powered telemetry for monitor oil pipelines in Oman; Public wind and solar lighting systems for Hong Kong, Australia, USA, South American and Europe. I also designed and built Hong Kong's first solar powered HSPA 3G wireless surveillance system for Hong Kong and China Gas company's off shore facilities.I organised many international trade shows and recruited a network of distributors and system integrators around the world, established branch offices in Europe and South America. My efforts have made EGL Energy an international brandname for reliable and preferred supplier for Renewable Energy solutions.

PetroAsian was a Hong Kong energy consulting company before it went public at the HK stock exchange in 2009. My role was to apply the latest technologies for the appraisal and operation of energy mining projects. Some of the appraisal tasks included seismic and oil well data analysis for oil and gas in Inner Mongolia and Africa, Canada oil sands. I also successfully implemented a remote surveillance system for PetroChina's gasoline retail operations in Hong Kong.At the height of world oil price, I was also responsible for spear-heading a new business unit for Renewable Energy and successfully opened a customer base for wind and solar power devices trading, developing and installing turn-key solutions for oilfield applications.

I was Marketing Director 2000-2004 and acting Managing Director 2009-2011.Jupiter Networks was a leader in digital recording for CCTV networks. My early role was Marketing and I also took charge of product development and sales support. Successful projects implemented include Hong Kong's first Unified Messaging Service and became a leader in digital video surveillance with international hotel chains, large MNCs and local customers. I organised many trade shows and developed a brandname for Jupiter in digital surveillance. I developed many oversea partners for export and cross-border projects.As acting Managing Director, I was charged with maintaining the P&L of the business and business relationship with key customers. I also set up new product portfolio of enterprise network video recorders and solar powered standalone outdoor video recorders.
