I'm a credentialed psychotherapist working in integrated behavioral health. I see individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan and specialize in helping families facing severe, chronic, or terminal mental or medical illnesses. I'll be relocating to Bellingham, WA in Spring 2025. I also continue to engaged in a number of neuroscience research projects as a consultant. Current projects include post-concussion syndromes, chronic pain, provider empathy and burnout, and Alzheimer's disease, in which I apply data science and neurobiology expertise to large, high-dimensional datasets from functional and structural MRI, spectroscopy, and behavioral and clinical outcome metrics. I'm an alumnus of Georgia State University (BS in Biology, 2002), Michigan State University (PhD in Neuroscience, 2008), Utica University (MS in Data Science, 2020), and National University (MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, 2024) and have held research and faculty positions at the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and the Emory University School of Medicine. I also have possesses a passion for teaching, and have served as a production consultant in Physics for Georgia Public Broadcasting and as a museum educator and STEM specialist at the Stepping Stones Museum in Norwalk, Connecticut. I've also served as a scientific consultant and contractor for government agencies, nonprofits, and academia.
