Hello!After 10 years of teaching high-school math and science, I am eager to push my analytical skills to the next level in a new career! Over the past months I have earned the CompTIA Security+, Security Blue Team Level 1, and Google Cybersecurity certificates. These certs have given me a solid foundation of cybersecurity concepts, as well as the opportunity to put those concepts into practice via hands-on labs and projects. I've also picked up freelance work at Outlier.AI and have had a blast helping to train their LLMs in math and engineering. The projects I'm on have been a fantastic way to sharpen my analysis and communication skills in an exciting tech environment. My years in the classroom have made me an excellent communicator and public speaker. Just as I've taught my students things like the quadratic formula and logarithms, they've taught me to be agile and assertive, to be patient yet firm in my expectations, and to always have a positive mindset but never be afraid to tackle conflict head-on. I've become quite accustomed to keeping a clear head in high-pressure environments, such as a room full of 16-year-olds trying to wrap their heads around imaginary numbers. In my free time, I write screenplays, write & perform music, and I am developing a board game with a good friend. I enjoy bringing creativity to all that I do.
