The Crew Change Team was set up as part of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The team was tasked with facilitating the crew change of sea vessels under special circumstances. This effort was carried out in recognition of the critical role that seafarers play in the global supply chain and to safeguard the health and safety of seafarers onboard during the pandemic.Roles and Responsibilities: • Processed crew change applications and verified COVID-19 documents from shipping agents/owners • Approved crew change procedures and represented MPA in liaison with agents/shipowners
