I am an undergraduate student majoring in Mechanical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University with a passion for aerospace engineering. With over nine months of professional aerospace industry experience through co-ops and internships, I have a solid technical foundation to prepare me for exciting opportunities and challenges in the field. While at Penn State, I do research at the High Pressure Combustion Laboratory (HPCL), where I've contributed to research in hybrid rocket engines and am actively involved in monopropellant research for the United States Air Force. This past summer, I interned at Collins Aerospace, where I worked as a systems engineer developing the thermal control system for NASA's next-generation spacesuit under the xEVAS program, nextEMU. While working on this program, I developed an accurate way to monitor thermal control loop water consumption during an EVA (spacewalk). Additionally, I supported NASA's existing spacesuit aboard the ISS, the EMU, by making significant updates to full systems models to enhance overall analysis fidelity. In the Summer and Fall of 2023, I completed a co-op at Pratt & Whitney as an aerothermal fluids engineering co-op. I was the durability engineer responsible for the low-pressure turbine blade outer air seals for the F135 Engine Core Upgrade program. During this time, I earned an award for accountability while working on the program. I have also completed several highly technical engineering reviews at Pratt and worked on various other commercial engine programs. In my hometown of Wellsville, Pennsylvania, I volunteer as a firefighter/EMT at my local fire company. Since 2019, I've been actively serving my community, first as a junior firefighter and later earning my interior and exterior firefighting certifications in late 2021, along with my EMT certification in early 2021.
