Jeremy is an experienced professional facilitator focused on creating authentic learning experiences that challenge people to transform the way they think about what it will take to survive the workplace of the future. Content memorisation might have been the thing that allowed you to graduate with your academic credential but unless you have developed 21st Century skills you will not survive an ambiguous uncertain changing workplace. As an Associate Dean at Sheridan College prior to his retirement he led a multi-disciplinary team in the development of 5 new undergraduate BBA degrees. The programs were designed to create a new paradigm for business undergraduate education by creating learning that emphasised the need for students to develop their critical, creative and reflective thinking capacities so that they could master the uncertainty and ambiguity associated with change in their future careers. Recognising that this would require a significant shift in the way students thought about learning he worked with faculty to build a new program that created discomfort in student thinking (see link). Building on this work he is now taking all that he has learned and is exploring how to develop individuals’ critical, creative and reflective thinking skills through the use of experiential learning strategies that explore creative problem solving, innovation, change management, collaboration, empathy development, design thinking, curiosity and imagination. Jeremy holds a Master’s Degree in Higher Education from University of Toronto - OISE and a Bachelors Management Degree from the University of Surrey, England.
