I am a highly motivated and driven attorney currently employed with the City of Springfield Law Department as a First Associate City Solicitor and the City's Records Access Officer. My experience spans from advising body politics of large cities to representing private corporations in state and federal court, handling matters ranging from 42 U.S. Code § 1983 and false imprisonment lawsuits to employment, harassment, and retaliation claims. I have litigated cases in the Massachusetts Superior, District, Federal District Courts, Housing Court, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and both state and Federal Appeals Courts. My responsibilities also include overseeing the municipal regulatory and licensing process for the City’s various cannabis dispensaries and manufacturing locations. Prior to my current role, I served as the Director of Litigation for the City of Springfield, Massachusetts. My previous roles include time spent with the Touro Law Center’s Disaster Relief Clinic representing individuals and businesses affected by Superstorm Sandy's aftermath. The Law Center aimed to provide referrals, assistance, and pro-bono legal guidance for residents and small businesses affected by the 2012 storm.I am experienced in client consultations, discovery, and trial preparation. I am passionate about deposition and trial preparation and the development of effective and efficient litigation strategies. I have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.I enjoy the different tasks I undertake while working with municipal departments as a litigator, advocate, advisor, counselor, trainer, and educator.
