As President and CEO of Assembly for the Arts, Jeremy led the historic passage of Issue 55, a voter-approved levy that will invest $160 million over ten years in more than 300 cultural organizations across Greater Cleveland. He secured $6.3 million in federal relief funds for artists and nonprofits impacted by COVID-19, ensuring their continued social and economic contributions.In Newark, New Jersey, Jeremy served as the city’s first philanthropic liaison, working under Mayors Cory Booker and Ras Baraka to attract $50 million for groundbreaking initiatives. As head of Newark Arts, he led the creation of Newark’s first cultural plan, expanded the nationally acclaimed Newark Arts Festival, and elevated the city into the top ten of the nation’s most arts-vibrant communities.Jeremy’s board service reflects his dedication to equity, community development, and the arts. He serves on the boards of University Circle, Inc., Downtown Cleveland Alliance, the AEP6 Equity Task Force for Americans for the Arts, and the Turrell Fund. He is a Leadership Cleveland 2023 alum.A first-generation college graduate, Jeremy began his career as an intern at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. He holds degrees and certifications from Kenyon College, the University of Iowa, and Rutgers Business School’s Institute for Ethical Leadership.
