I provide psychotherapy to individuals, adolescents and couples. My areas ofspecialization include: anxiety and depression; grief and loss; life transitions; and relationship issues. My psychotherapeutic approach is strength based and incorporates cognitive behavioral, solution focused, narrative and psychodynamic techniques. My work with couples primarily utilizes Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy and also draws upon principles from the GottmanMethod Couple Therapy.

During my internship, I provided individual therapy to a diverse client population with a variety of presenting problems, including psychiatric issues such as anxiety-related and mood disorders, as well as life transitions and career and academic planning. I completed specialized training in immediate intervention counseling and provided therapy to clients in crisis, utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral therapy. I also completed specialized trainings in couples and family counseling and provided therapy to couples and families presenting with relationship problems. I co-facilitated a process therapy group for women, increasing client insight into interpersonal difficulties and co-facilitated couples workshops, providing psychoeducation to assist couples in gaining insight into their relational dynamics and learn more adaptive communication methods.

Counseled adolescents age 15 – 18, providing support and assistance with life transitions,interpersonal difficulties and academic planning. Additionally, I conducted collateral therapy sessions with clients’ parents and provided referrals to family therapy when appropriate.
