I have a passion for educating others. The world is a better place when we are sharing knowledge and learning from our collective experiences. I believe hard-work, communication and an open-ness to learning help me to be the best version of myself. My guiding philosophy is to always be working on being a better role model and to lend a hand whenever possible. I am dedicated to the success of teams and projects, recognizing the strengths of others, listening and learning from their experiences and skills. Being on the Greenskins Lab team, working collaboratively and presenting research internationally, I came to realize the multitude of ecological problems that the world faces and cities have to address. I am committed to the contextual needs of communities and projects that often go unrecognized. I believe how we design buildings is consequential to the urban environment and the people who live there, that buildings play a critical role in reducing climate change. When buildings are treated as part of the solution, we can more effectively utilize the benefits of holistic and sustainable systems. For these reasons and more, I became LEED AP certified in Building Design and Construction. As a Project Architect at VLMK, I oversee the design and development of projects and assist contractors, keeping jobs on schedule through the coordination of consultants, producing construction documents and performing code analysis for my projects and the design team.
