About Jerilyn Miller

I have been in retail for 25 years, mostly in management positions. I spent a total of 11 years at Tractor Supply, moving from a part time team member position up to a store manager. I have also worked as both front office manager and then sales manager at a Courtyard by Marriott, and the front desk manager at a small lake hotel, Brookpointe Inn. After an illness, I returned to the workforce in a part time position as night auditor at Quality Inn. I spent 5 years as a bookkeeper for a retail propane company as well. After having spent nearly a year serving with the Salvation Army as a Retail Store/Donation Center Manager, I was given the opportunity to shift gears and took a position as a Leasing Consultant for Atlantic Marine Corps Communities on Cherry Point Air Station. Growing up on my family farm, I learned the value of a hard day's work, and the satisfaction that comes from a job well done. I had moved away for college, where I got married and when my first child came along, I left college, moving my family back home so that I could raise my children in the same environment I had been raised in. I pride myself on being a leader and having the ability to build a team. I believe that people who are given ownership of their jobs and recognition for their work end up performing far better. I am a manager who cares for her employees and treats them like family. Customer service is my passion, and I feel that it takes more than just a friendly smile to accomplish really good customer service. I think that an all around experience is required, from cleanliness to availability of products or services, to the environment they walk into are all key to providing the kind of customer service that keeps customers coming back again and again.
