I also teach individual clients; I have an ad in the Saturday Book Section in The Chicago Tribune. I also have been teaching at Oakton Community College's Alliance for Lifelong Learning. I was a Fellow at the Ragdale Foundation in 1985. The late Saul Bellow was on my Selection Committee. I was accepted to The Breadloaf Writers' Conference in Middlebury, Vermont; a full-tuition scholarship at The Squaw Valley Community of Writers in Olympic Valley, California; and The Aspen Writers' Workshop. At these workshops, I studied with poets Sandra McPherson, Robert Van Dias, and Lewis Turco. I belong to PPSEAWA (Pan Pacific Southeast Asian Women's Association), an NGO of the United Nations, helping girl in that region to obtain a high-school education. I attended the National Meeting (I was vice president of programs) at The United Nations, and I attended the International Meeting at Auckland, New Zealand. The Chicago Chapter has 30 women from China, Japan, Korea, India, Ecuador, South Africa, Mexico, Canada, Britain, Poland, Germany, etc.My poetry was published in numerous journals; and I am now sending out short stories and a non-fiction book about the process of healing oneself through creative writing and bibliotherapy (books).
