Jerimiah Boyd-Johnson is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He attended Eastern Illinois University and his received his Undergraduate Degree mangna cum laude in Political Science with a Minor in Pre-Law. At Eastern he was the 2021 Homecoming King, 2021-2022 Graduation Commencement Speaker, and the chair of his Police Chief Advisory Board. His undergraduate thesis is about the “Obstruction of Anti-Lynching Legislation.” Jerimiah is currently a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law. He desires to become a Criminal Defense and Civil Rights Attorney. Jerimiah has received multiple recognitions for his scholarship and service such as: The Lincoln Academy Student Laureate, Marcus Garvey NAACP Award, and Distinguished Senior Award. Jerimiah had worked at Cook County Public Defender's Office, and the Miami Dade Public Defenders Office on felony cases. Jerimiah is the current Parliamentarian/Social Media Co-Chair of the Black Graduate Students Association.
