I have joined CLP insurance as a founder member of the newly formed Construction & Engineering Division.Channing Lucas & Partners Limited (CLP Insurance) are a specialist Lloyds of London brokerage. I joined Aston Scott as a member of their Construction Division as an Account Handler and subsequently promoted to Senior Account Handler. At Aston Scott I looked after clients ranging in various sizes up to £300m in turnover dealing with broking, claims, policy management and risk management. I was also the division authority holder for underwriting of Aston Scott in-house schemes for Excess Layers, Directors & Officers and Personal Accident & Travel policies.In addition to my client responsibilities I also trained other members of staff, carried out audits and helped ensure that the division operated within the regulatory framework.

At Giles I worked as an Account Handler looking after clients in the construction sector dealing with broking, claims and policy management. During my time at Giles I gained expertise in the following areas of construction related insurances:Employers Liability, Public Liability, Contract Works, Plant, Professional Indemnity, JCT 6.5.1 (or equivalent) cover, Building Warranties / Latent Defects, Bonding and Project Policies.In addition to more general insurances like Property, Motor etc... I was also appointed an Acturis super user.
