During my time with the United States Department of Defense, I was responsible for intercepting unauthorized Federal property that was mis-shipped to civilian sites. I championed the coordination, training, and enforcement of property reutilization, transfer, donation (R/T/D) programs, sales, and disposal.I reviewed RFIs from third-party vendors for site management and ensured final contracts accurately reflected scope and mitigated risks. Managed a team of 50 contractors within unauthorized areas and collaborated closely with four owners and three managers to maintain operational efficiency. Recognized and ensured compliance with Demil property requirements, overseeing contractors to complete all work as per task orders. Worked closely with the Sales Contracting Officer to resolve various issues, successfully carrying out all phases of the disposal of excess and surplus government property.

My responsibilities include conducting roving patrols, managing static installation access control, executing tactical driving maneuvers, and overseeing entry control points to ensure the highest level of security.

During my time in the US Army, I had the opportunity to lead a squad of six soldiers, handling 0-6 Colonel escort, civilian security, and convoy operations across Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Qatar. I also got to train a diverse group of staff on using heavy equipment and military vehicles like forklifts, side loaders, swing masts, and hand-operated pallet jacks.One of my key roles was identifying transportation licensure requirements and approving new drivers to transport government property. I also managed the administrative side of things, like maintaining stock records and handling inventory, material control, accounting, and supply reports.I reviewed Disposal Turn-in Documents (DTID) and made sure all the accompanying materials were accurately documented, including stock numbers, nomenclature, quantities, units of issue, disposal authority codes, DEMIL, and condition codes. I took the initiative to verify DEMIL codes, challenged any questionable items or codes, and maintained segregated storage for property requiring DEMIL.Additionally, I reviewed and verified quantities received against bills of lading, contracts, purchase requests, and shipping documents to ensure everything was in order.
