Streamlined and automated the Linux workstation deployments by dissecting, customizing and repackaging the Ubuntu Ubiquity installer and creating scripts/applications in Python, Bash and GTK. These modifications auto-suggest usernames/hostnames in our standard format, enable fingerprint readers, install VPN prerequisites, enroll the computer owners to our certificate-based VPN, replace the OEM kernel and more. Created/maintain our company’s Jenkins jobs that execute my Python compliance scripts. These scripts automate the revocation of network access for non-compliant devices and sync our Linux users to an LDAP security group. Developed a VPN toolbox application, in Python, to assist our users with changing their VPN gateway, network MTU and other VPN related settings. I merge pull requests to keep our Jenkins and Python docker images up to date. Manage and push changes to our Bitbucket Linux repositories. Troubleshoot any network performance issues or outages. Built a Free-RADIUS server for Active Directory authentication for our wireless users and our Cisco switch authentication. Designed a network weather map that shows real-time network usage and availability statistics. Build, configure and monitor Linux syslog servers, Opsview monitoring and MRTG for bandwidth usage and historical data. Diagram the entire network in Visio 2013, using layers. Assist the server team with Active Directory configuration, Windows Server 2008 R2 /2012 R2 upgrades, troubleshooting and management.
