In this position, I oversaw all technology functions and activities for the Global Energy and NOAM/EMEA operations, leading a team of 18 and reporting directly to the Group CIO. Training and directing IT application and infrastructure teams, I led our efforts in providing support for Energy Trading and all NOAM/EMEA businesses. For our North American Gas & Power and Global Oil Liquids (each in the process of being sold to competitors), I planned and managed the full cycles of all IT transition projects, serving as the primary point of contact for all escalated issues.HIGHLIGHTS:★ Led seamless transfer of IT assets, applications, and data to purchaser of the Global Oil Liquids business as a key requirement of closing the sale. Overcame challenges of headcount reduction and limited resources at the project onset to enable Noble’s receipt of sale proceeds (a mid 9-figure total).★ Enabled Noble to receive proceeds from sale of the North American Gas & Power business (a 9-figure total) by leading on-time, on-scope IT transition. Reviewed and transferred IT assets, applications, and data to the buyer within a challenging headcount reduction environment.

OVERVIEW:I was promoted by the Group CIO to spearhead a turnaround for the Global Energy Technology operation (in particular, I addressed system performance and team morale issues). Leading the Application Support and Development teams in supporting Global Energy trading businesses, I managed a group of 10 while reporting to the Group CIO. Additionally, directed team in instituting scheduled jobs to execute previously manual scripts. - Achieved 100% improvement in trading application performance, 50% reduction in execution time for exchange trade feed, and 30% increase in team member bandwidth.

OVERVIEW:I was brought on board to consolidate the entire Global Gas & Power technology organization and reverse a prior history of concerns in several areas. Leading a team of 8, I reported directly to the CIO of the Energy organization. One of the primary challenges in this role was to replicate the consistency of our system performance in North American within Noble’s European operation. As such, I held full accountability for the output of application support and development teams that supported both North American and European Gas & Power trading divisions.HIGHLIGHTS:★ Collaborated with Product Control and utilized existing technology to design Product Control System that enabled Middle Office team to track P&L information, capture P&L reserves and other adjustments, and institute a controlled, month-end hand-off of P&L information from Middle Office to Finance. - Shortened month-end close by 33%, creating additional flexibility to handle issues during close process. Added trading position automation element that reduced data inconsistencies and reconciliation issues.★ Worked with developers and ISO Settlements team to design and implement North American Power ISO Invoice Automation tool. Eliminated 8 days of labor each month that increased the ISO Settlements team’s capacity to support business growth.★ Identified disparate processes within the N.A. Gas & Power division. Led implementation of open-source, no-cost job scheduler tool, documented all scheduled jobs, and facilitated migration of scheduled jobs to a single server and management of all jobs from a single portal. Created a more reliable IT service and increased transparency into the impact of business growth on IT.★ Analyzed reoccurring issues with European trade feed and exchange trade process. Worked with developer on streamlining code base, eliminating 100% of daily trade feed failures, expediting trade feed, and delivering actionable information to the Back Office team.
