OVERVIEW:I was brought on board to consolidate the entire Global Gas & Power technology organization and reverse a prior history of concerns in several areas. Leading a team of 8, I reported directly to the CIO of the Energy organization. One of the primary challenges in this role was to replicate the consistency of our system performance in North American within Noble’s European operation. As such, I held full accountability for the output of application support and development teams that supported both North American and European Gas & Power trading divisions.HIGHLIGHTS:★ Collaborated with Product Control and utilized existing technology to design Product Control System that enabled Middle Office team to track P&L information, capture P&L reserves and other adjustments, and institute a controlled, month-end hand-off of P&L information from Middle Office to Finance. - Shortened month-end close by 33%, creating additional flexibility to handle issues during close process. Worked with developer on streamlining code base, eliminating 100% of daily trade feed failures, expediting trade feed, and delivering actionable information to the Back Office team.
