“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.” I've always been very interested in foreign languages, especially Asian ones, and after finishing high school in Koper, Slovenia, I decided to study Sinology/Chinese studies at Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. I graduated with a high score in 2018 and I got enrolled in the Sinology Master’s program the same year. Because of Covid19, I had to change my Master’s thesis and I’m working and focusing on it right now.During my studies, I've been to China twice. First time I was enrolled in a summer language school program in the summer of 2015 at Liaoning University of Technology in Jinzhou, and second time it was non-degree Chinese language program in 2019-2020 at Sichuan University in Chengdu. My Chinese improved a lot. While studying, I was also busy with student jobs, for instance at a prestigious department store in Ljubljana and later at Levi's. In China I was teaching English to Chinese as well.I'm very open-minded, communicative, loyal, hard-working, positive, adaptable, ambitious, determined, friendly and honest. I’m fluent in 5 languages: Slovenian, English, Italian, Chinese and Croatian.From October 2021 till September 2022 I was employed at Huawei Technologies Ljubljana d.o.o. as a Junior Account Manager where I got to use my Chinese language skills on a daily basis. On top of that, my main focus was taking care of our customers, attending to their needs in terms of 5G and other things in telecommunations, building relationships with them, learning about Huawei’s products and solutions, while also doing various administrative work.In September 2022 I started a new position at General Financial office, Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia. I was a Trainee first, then I became and Advisor and later a Senior Advisor. I’m currently working on this position in tax accounting and tax reimbursement/return. I’m using SAP ERP on a daily basis while doing tax accounting, meanwhile paying close attention to all Slovenia’s taxes and contributions our taxpayers are paying, focusing on the eligibility of reimbursements of taxes, such as VAT, income tax and others. A portion of my work is also international enforcement, translating and communicating with taxpayers not fluent in Slovenian and keeping in contact with other Financial Administrations in EU.
