I recently accepted a full time position with Alpine Polytech after completing an internship there doing materials science research and testing. I have already been given many opportunities to plan projects and manage customer relationships, and I expect to continue to develop my technical and relational skills in this position.Before working for Alpine Polytech, I got a college degree and followed a bit of an unorthodox career path: In December of 2020, I graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. For the following two years, I served as a Campus Missionary at The Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS). Working for FOCUS, I developed communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills to fundraise my own salary and form communities of faith on college campuses. While this undertaking didn't help me to develop technical skills, I developed time management habits and grit to push through difficult situations. Against even my expectations, my time as a missionary made me a better engineer.
