I have always loved building things. This and a natural aptitude toward math and physics lead me to a career in structural engineering. As a Utah native I was drawn to the University of Utah (Go Utes!) where I completed my three degrees. I am now a principal at Reaveley Engineers + Associates where I have been employed for over 25 years. I am fortunate to have had the chance to work on some of Reaveley's most interesting and challenging projects, including the multi-award winning Utah State Capitol Renovation and Base Isolation for which I served as project manager. Opportunities at Reaveley continue to provide me the chance to do what I love and to interact with talented people beyond count.A great friend and mentor, Larry Reaveley invited me to guest teach a course at the University of Utah in the year 2000 when he was department chair. Since then I have taught hundreds of students seeking their undergraduate and graduate degrees. I currently moonlight as an adjunct professor for the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering teaching courses in Concrete, Masonry and Timber design.Specialties: Seismic design, sustainable design, computer modeling, presentations, technical writing.
Listed skills include Concrete, Seismic Design, Earthquake Engineering, Civil Engineering, and 22 others.
