I currently work as a Researcher in Atom Probe Tomography at imec, Leuven.In my Phd (2014-2018), Investigated the interaction between two nano-objects by combining them in novel devices. In our research, we employed the two-dimensional graphene as a sensitive support for atomic clusters. These are fascinating quantum objects consisting of a few atoms (for instance gold). Their physico-chemical properties change drastically, even when adding a single atom to the cluster. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first to combine these objects in novel device, with possible applications in for instance catalysis or spintronics.As such, I have acquired research expertise in nanofabrication (electron beam lithography, thin film and cluster deposition, physical etching), microscopic characterization (electron and atomic force microscopy), and electronic/spintronic transport measurements at cryogenic temperatures and high magnetic fields. I actively participate in the education programs of the bachelor and master in physics and nanoscience as lab tutor. I have supervised of over 4 successful thesis projects. Furthermore, I am engaged in multiple communication and outreach activities.
