How to keep an insurer relevant in the 21st century is the main focus of Jeroen Bartelse. As business innovation manager for Achmea (non-life) he works on initiatives in all three innovation horizons, open innovation and participates on behalf of Achmea in several ecosystems.Some examples of projects of Jeroen; b2b2c insurance, embedded insurance, voice robot in a call center, human robot interaction (HMI), self-driving car insurance, visual customer support and the development of a blockchain agnostic smart contract based insurance solution.With regard to open innovation, he investigates potential collaborations with startups or other businesses to bring innovation inside Achmea. His aim is not just to aid create a vision but to make it concrete and actionable for the property & casualty side of the (insurance) business.In order to achieve this management will be aided with making choices and implementing change.
