Jerold Mande has a wealth of expertise and experience in national public health and food policy. He served in senior policymaking positions for three presidents at USDA, FDA, OSHA, and the White House and in Congress, helping lead landmark public health initiatives. He led the graphic design of the Nutrition Facts label, drafted the laws governing the nation's organ donor system, and shaped the country's nutrition, food safety, tobacco, and cancer control policies. He helped lead the U.S. Department of Agriculture's feeding programs and supported First Lady Michelle Obama's fight against childhood obesity. He has held faculty appointments at the Harvard School of Public Health, the Tufts, Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and the Tisch College of Civic Life, and Yale School of Medicine.
